The Technical Representative ensures the proper execution of aircraft maintenance in accordance with approved procedures and regulatory requirements, representing the airline’s technical interests at maintenance stations and liaising with external service providers.
Professional requirements:
- Secondary school/University degree in aviation with a focus on aircraft maintenance
- Part-66 license holder (B1, B2) is an advantage
- experience in CAMO or Part-145 - experience with operational maintenance
- knowledge of applicable legislation and rules – EASA Part-145, Part-M, Part-CAMO, MOE, AMM/MPD/SRM
- ability to read and interpret technical documentation
- knowledge of aircraft types in operation – B737 NG/MAX, A320
- active knowledge of English, including technical English
- fluent Polish
- active knowledge of MS Office package and IT systems
Soft skills:
- communication skills – ability to deal with MRO and Crew
- independence and decisiveness, ability to work under pressure and be able to act in a crisis situation
- organizational skills and flexibility – ability to coordinate a team of technicians and multiple processes at once, be able to adapt to changes
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- representation of the Smartwings as group
- act as the primary on-site representative of the airline’s technical department
- communicate with MRO providers, local CAMO representatives, and flight crews to ensure smooth maintenance operations
- supervision of Maintenance Activities
- oversee and verify that maintenance tasks are carried out in compliance with approved procedures, manuals, and regulatory requirements
- monitor turnaround times and adherence to scheduled maintenance programs
- ensure proper completion of all maintenance documentation, including CRS
- quality and Safety Oversight
- monitor maintenance quality and escalate any findings, incidents, or non-conformities to the Safety & Compliance department
- ensure that all corrective actions are implemented in accordance with the company’s and regulatory standards
- operational coordination
- actively manage AOG situations, coordinating necessary resources to restore aircraft serviceability
- support MCC/OCC in decision-making related to aircraft technical status
- facilitate on-site troubleshooting and liaise with OEMs or support teams as required
- technical reporting and documentation
- prepare and submit technical reports and updates to MCC/OCC
- maintain proper records of all maintenance activities performed at the station
- liaison with OEM and Authorities (if delegated)
- act as the airline’s contact point for regulatory inspections or audits related to the station
