Smartwings is resuming flights to Tel Aviv as of May 26

Airline company Smartwings is planning to resume flights to Tel Aviv, Israel, as of May 26, if the security situation permits. Scheduled flights between Prague and Tel Aviv will be operated twice a week (Wednesday and Saturday), with the frequency expected to increase incrementally by July to two flights a day, seven days a week.

The current flight schedule offers departures from Prague to Tel Aviv on Wednesday and Saturday at 23:00. Flights from Tel Aviv to Prague will depart on Thursday and Sunday at 04:50. Flight tickets to Tel Aviv are available on Smartwings and Czech Airlines websites and at flight ticket vendors.

In the summer season, Smartwings Group offers flights from Czech airports to 77 destinations in Greece, Spain, Italy, France, Portugal, Bulgaria, Montenegro, Croatia, Israel, Egypt, Turkey, Tunisia, UAE, Cape Verde, Netherlands, Sweden, Denmark, United Kingdom, Russia, Malta, Ukraine, and Island. Resumption of air traffic is conditional on applicable travel restrictions imposed by the respective countries in association with the health situation. During the summer season, Smartwings will operate flights not only from Czech airports but also from its hubs in Poland, France, Hungary, Slovakia, and the Canary Islands.  

Smartwings has newly signed a contract with major German tour operators to provide air transport from Germany and Switzerland to the Canary Islands in autumn 2021. Flights will be operated from 10 airports in Germany and Switzerland (Munich, Hamburg, Bremen, Düsseldorf, Leipzig, Dresden, Hannover, Stuttgart, Nuremberg, and Zurich), heading for the Canary Islands of Gran Canaria and Fuerteventura.

Smartwings currently operates scheduled flights from Prague to Split, Croatia; Málaga, Spain; Mallorca; Greece (Crete, Rhodes, Kos) four Canary Islands (Tenerife, Gran Canaria, Fuerteventura, Lanzarote); Madeira (Funchal); Egypt (Hurghada and Marsa Alam), and to St. Petersburg, Russia. Charter flights are available from Prague to UAE, Egypt, and Tunisia. Since the beginning of May, Smartwings has been operating flights also from airports in Brno and Ostrava.

Smartwings offers its clients free rebooking for all existing and new individual bookings by 30 June 2021. The latest departure date for a rebooked flight is 31 March 2022. Together with their flight tickets, clients can purchase travel insurance on the Smartwings website complete with coverage of the costs in the event of contracting the COVID-19 disease.
