Direct flights Prague – Ponta Delgada to start in April 2024.
Airline company Smartwings has added another attractive destination to its offering for next summer. From April 26, 2024, it will launch direct flights from Prague to Ponta Delgada airport on the Azores. The regular service will operate twice a week, on Tuesdays and Fridays. Until now, it has been impossible to travel from Prague to the Azores in the Atlantic Ocean by direct flight without transfers.

Flight QS1172 will depart from Václav Havel Airport Prague every Tuesday and Friday at 12:00 at noon, arriving in Ponta Delgada at 15:30 local time. The return flight QS1173 from Ponta Delgada to Prague will depart at 16:15 local time and arrive to Václav Havel Airport Prague at 22:50.

Clients can purchase flight tickets to Ponta Delgada from September 14 on the websites of Smartwings and Czech Airlines (as part of their code-share partnership), as well as from flight ticket vendors.

“We connect Prague with scheduled flights with the Canary Islands of Tenerife (daily from 6 May 2024), Gran Canaria, Lanzarote, and Fuerteventura, and with Portuguese Madeira, and we are happy that from April, we will be offering our customers another attractive destination in the Atlantic, the largest Azores island of São Miguel, where they will be able to travel on a direct flight from Prague only with Smartwings,” says Peter Šujan, Smartwings sales director.

Smartwings will offer direct flights from Czech airports to more than 70 destinations under the 2024 summer flight schedule.
